I think that's how you go further in experiences. If we're not able to catch feelings, and even feelings are instinctive. Perhaps one may as well write instinctively and may not as well try to make sense of what he has written

I can't understand why

An old man was laying on his bed on the dark night of summers on the rooftops looking at the wonder of clear sky

He was possibly gazing his eyes from one star to other, one constellation to other, one planet to other, observing the depthness of the cosmos

It was a usually routine for him to do so. But this time it was different. He was almost living through the last stages of cancer and he realised chemotherapy wasn't going to be his thing. Probably his health had detoriated to the maximum extent

But there seems to be a peace in his eyes. He was calm in his mind willfully putting all his trust and faith on his long drawn patience observing the cosmos

He had same supposedly profound concerns regarding his place - possibly very insignificant - in this majestic world on a speck of dirt like planet called earth

He was looking for an answer, a sweet opening, just a motive, a spark or that slight gaze to just give him the relief and satisfaction to his restless mind. So that he can just leave all what is left as it is, just let it be

But possibly when he closed his eyes for good sleep for the last time. He seem to be in a weird kind of stress he may not have experienced in the toughest moment of his life. He seem to feel some wearing down. It seems there was a tipping point, the patience must have taken too much mental toil. His last breath didn't seem like he was ready to leave. Alas he slept restless and unsatisfied. Possibly feeling a kind of vain, a huge vain, the vanity a life is, a painful release that last closure of eyes is.

He failed. What was the cost to it. Was it even worth it. Were his fantasies was all a cope. Just to be there in the world for no real reason. He surely felt the fakeness of all of it in the moment. Ahhh the cosmos lied him.

It may not be that you're wrong, it's just things with you or life that's wrong with you. You're not necessarily oblige to go out of your way and correct everything in the way even lest proceed & engage with it. Even if it leads to the most logical conclusion…

Only if you're looking to exert your power and express that you'd been living all the while by making the change(s) ,go ahead to follow the (futile?) path of those 0.01% for whom the destiny/faith set such a possibility, such a waste.
