After the failure of negotiations between Turkey and the US, a Turkish offensive on the SDF seems inevitable. Only the American presence in Kobani and Ain Issa can stop this aggression for the time being. However, after the fall of al-Assad's government, the Americans have no reason to stay there, and there seems to be no political will in Washington to confront a conflict against Turkey, especially after the change of government in the White House in January. Without air and military support the SDF will not be able to cope with a simultaneous SNA attack and Turkish bombing, not to say that Arab uprisings in Raqqa or Derir-Ezzor would bring about an even more rapid collapse of the organisation, and with it the end of any attempt at Kurdish self-rule in Syria.
Negotiations with Damascus have also failed to bear fruit. Aware of the SDF's weakness, the transitional government and Jolani have called for the defection of the Arab elements of the organisation.
In the coming weeks we are likely to see the last episode of the Syrian Civil War (2011-2025), but not the end of the Syrian conflict. 🇸🇾

The padlock on the account of Twitter will remain for a few days until the terrorist donkeys of the Internet relax a little. As many of you know, the publications will continue, and soon you will be able to post again.
Thanks for your patience and thanks for your support.

The Suriyakmaps account is not going to be closed as some people claim. Nor will you see a restyling of the icon, it is not necessary. During these seven (almost eight) years in which this project was started we have witnessed the fall of a political regime in Syria, depending on for whom it has been good or bad news.
But what cannot be denied is the story of many Syrians who gave their lives to fight against terrorism and barbarism. While Westerners were worrying about the danger from their screens thousands of soldiers were facing the militants of ISIS, al-Qaeda and other terrorist organizations. In addition to the efforts of the Kurds and Iraqis, the Syrians showed great tenacity and fortitude in confronting and considerably eliminating those who, in case of victory, would continue to bring death to the rest of the world.

Three days ago I talked to some interesting guys in the city of Damascus, some I knew from before, retired SAA members, others on the other hand were reconciled rebels from Ghouta. The incredible thing is that they had been having a conversation since a week ago after it seemed inevitable that the era of Bashar al-Ashad was coming to an end. They had already started a dialogue on what the new political regime should look like and the guidelines to be taken for a political participation in future elections under secular forms. It was interesting to see how those who had been at loggerheads could once again reconcile, both war-weary, with the country suffering a severe economic crisis and no bright future.
Syrians are very strong-minded and seem to carry in their DNA that spirit of rebellion that drives them to rise up against anyone who attacks their way of life and their way of being.
Now the chances that a secular alternative can be formed seem remote after the arrival of terrorist groups and the Islamism of the Muslim Brotherhood to power. However, I have no doubt that Syrians will revolt again against this monster sooner or later as they did against al-Assad. Syria is a melting pot of cultures and diverse opinions, so the survival of its identity will depend on whether religious homogenization prevails or, on the contrary, secularization re-emerges. Let us hope that sooner or later it will be the latter.🇸🇾

The situation in Hama is very difficult, but not critical. The entry of rebels into the city is not certain. The fighting is taking place a few kilometers away, as Syrian troops have retreated after the violent push by the militants. Some localities change hands every few days, making the frontline difficult to define. However, the SAA manages to hold, even with difficulty, the main line of defense.
The terrorist positions are bombarded with intensity, while numerous reinforcements continue to be brought from Homs and Damascus.
