My admitted student package from Amherst ? ( a good addition to my bookshelf)

This package is one of the small things that I admire about the US application process and which makes me genuinely happy:)

My package included:
1. Official Letter of Acceptance
2. Stickers or what they call Tattoos (I actually put one on my laptop and the other on my phone case)
3. Pennant
4. Printed images of Amherst in HQ

P.S. I believe you don't receive any packages from the UK's universities.

Today, I’d like to share about a very warm greeting for the upcoming Class of 28’.

We got access to our emails back in early June, but I didn’t log in until June 19th. When I finally did, I was thrilled to discover a delightful surprise from them. If someone wonders about the price: the hoodies costs 75$

A-levels are often overlooked, even though they're tougher than AP exams.
I've put in the hard work, only to be recommended for MATH 121 instead of MATH 211.

Hopefully, I'll be able to resolve this problem soon with the Math dept. and my Academic Advisor.

Cool things that I love about Amherst!

Two years ago, Amherst ended Legacy Admissions, and in fact, it was one of the first prestigious colleges in the US to do so.

Now, Amherst doesn't care whether applicants have family alumni connections or "Did their Daddy donate a building?" Making the admission process more fair for all applicants.

Many of you have already asked me to share some of my stats that helped me to get into some of the most prestigious institutes in the world.

I'll start with the usual clichés that everyone loves to brag about — SAT and IELTS :

1)My SAT score is 1540 with 800 in Math and 740 in English

2) My IELTS score is 8.0 (it doesn't matter in admissions tbh as long as you get 7.5)

Now, I want to share something a bit more unique about my journey.

I took the Oxford MAT (Mathematics Admissions Test) and scored 84/100! That's roughly the top 3% and it was a very decisive part of my UK application, helping me to get an offer from Imperial College.

Also, I've won several Singaporean and South Asian Olympiads, which had a really positive impact on my profile as well as adding some mathematical creativity to my essays which in turn helped me to get into Amherst.

Lastly, as a former student of Tashkent PS
I've taken three A-levels ( Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) with a predicted A* (highest possible mark) in each subject.

Hey there, welcome to my blog ?

I am Shamil, and you may already know me for my Amherst?**** acceptance for the class of '28.

Furthermore, some may know me for my other notable acceptance: Imperial College London??. This year Imperial is in second place according to the QS rankings. However, let's not get much into details about Imperial and focus on Amherst instead (as Amherst is my firm choice).

At Amherst, I plan to major in Statistics and Econometrics. Also, thanks to Amherst's open curriculum I'll be able to take courses in other subjects too!

I really hope you stay on my channel as I'm going to share more from my experiences about UK and US universities, open curriculum, and many other useful thoughts with you.
