The Council for the Development of Social Science Research in Africa (CODESRIA) and the Centre for African Studies in Basel (CASB) call for applications for their 6th Summer School in African Studies and Area Studies in Africa. The topic of the Summer School is “Making Knowledge Policy Relevant”. The overall objective of the Summer School is to stimulate and consolidate interdisciplinary approaches to research on Africa, but also other regions of the world undertaken from within the African continent. The Summer School offers young SSH scholars a platform to examine the challenges of the tension and the potential for mutual fertilization between the requirements of scholarly standards and social impact in Africa. Participants will reflect on their research’s potential for societal transformation, develop theoretical and methodological skill in interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary collaboration, and learn to locate themselves in various academic and policy fields from an African lens.
The application deadline is 31. May 2024.

አዲስ አበባ ስቴድየም ተዘግቶ ቀረ አይደል? ለማንኛውም በድጋሚ ስለ እገርኳስ የጻፍኩትን አርቲክል ማየት ለምትፈልጉ ወይንም እስካሁን እንዳለ ላላወቃችሁ፡

በድጋሚ የቀረበ፡

«አጤ ተክለ ጊዮርጊስ (1861-1863 ዘመነ መንግሥታቸው) ሦስት ዓመት ገዙ፤ አልነገሡም፡፡ ጎጃሜ ተጫወተባቸው፡፡ 'የኛ ጌታ ሁነህ እንዲያው 'ደጃች ጎበዜ' ስትባል ትኖራለህ?' አጤ ተባል እንጅ!' አሏቸው ደጃች ጎሹ ብሩ፡፡

እንዲያው ዝም ብለው ዘቢጥ-ኸኛ አገር ሜዳ ላይ ነው - 'አጤ ተክለ ጊዮርጊስ በል!' ኸሜዳው ላይ አጤ ተክለጊዮርጊስ ሆኑ፡፡ ዘቢጥ ላይ 'አጤ በል!' ብለው አዋጅ ነገሩ፡፡

ጎሹ ብሩ በገዛ ሥራው ዘበተበት፤

'እንዲህ ነው! አቡን የለ፥ እጨጌ የለ፥ መቀባት የለ፥ እንዲያው አጤ!' ብሎ እዚያ ዘበተ፡፡

ዘቢጥ ላይ አባታቸው የተሰቀሉበት ነው (ያጤ ተክለ ጊዮርጊስ) (በአጤ ቴዎድሮስ ተይዘው መጥተው ዘቢጥ ላይ ኸግራር ተሰቀሉ፡፡) ዛድያ 'እንዴ! የደጃች ጎበዜ አባት የተሰቀሉበት እያለ የከብት እረኛ ሁሉ መጠያየቂያ…'አህያ አላየህም ወይ 'ደጃች - ኸተሰቀሉበት ግራር አጠገብ ነበር 'ጥጃ አላየህም ወይ?'…እንዲያው ያህያና የጥጃ መጠየቂያ ሁኖ፡፡ 'ይቆረጥ አሉ፤' ተቆረጠ ኸሥሩ፤ አስቆረጡ፡፡

ኋላ ይኸው ጎሹ ብሩ ጎጃሜው እልፍ ብሎ 'እንዲህ ነው! ልጅ እንዲህ ይወለድ፡፡ ደም ተመለሰ እኮ! አለ፡፡ 😂 ታድያ አሰቀሉት እሱን፡፡ ኸዚያው ዘቢጥ ይመስለኛል፡፡ ክፉ ምላስ ለባለቤቱ ደመኛ ነው፡፡»
