The military offensive ensued after a 9-month blockade of the Lachin Corridor, resulting in the effective isolation of Nagorno-Karabakh and its Armenian residents from the outside world and therefore giving rise to a #humanitarian catastrophe.

The implications of this #military action extend beyond the immediate actors involved, with potential repercussions for the broader regional #security landscape.
