Fijne jaarwisseling en een voorspoedig nieuwjaar toegewenst!

Hallo allemaal,

Afgelopen week sprak ik met een Russische soldaat die met rotatie pauze (mini vakantie) in de stad was.

Hij vroeg mij waar ik vandaan kwam, ik spreek nogal met een buitenlands accent. Ik kom uit Nederland zei ik.

Ow zegt de beste soldaat. Wij hebben een aantal Nederlandse soldaten krijgsgevangenen genomen. Waarom komen jullie naar ons toe? Vroeg hij aan mij. Ja goede vraag. Hij zegt, jullie komen en gaan niet meer terug. Deze gevangen misschien na minimaal vijf jaar, misschien!

Kijk, je hebt dus velen Nederlandse gezinnen thuis die hun vader missen en geen bericht krijgen waar of hij is. Of mogen ze toch naar huis toe bellen.

Ik probeer erachter te komen. Later weer meer.

We bidden voor een levendige en gezonde terugkomst.

We verwachten je thuis met de overwinning, dat zeggen we elke dag!

My commentary on the Turkish channel TRT about the Russian economy and poverty. The West is claiming that there is spread of poverty in Russia, which I try to debunk in my interview for TRT - The Russian economy is stable despite the Special Military Operation and Poverty level in Russia dropped to 9.3% in 2023. Homeless level has remained the same or even improved. Companies are expanding abroad such as the equivalent to McDonald called Vkusno und tochka. The IMF a Western oriented organization itself admits that they have no insight into the Russian economy, so figures from the West are usually not correct it is an assumption. The Russian government is doing everything it can to achieve the set goals and improve the economy, given the circumstances and the war rhetoric of the West a difficult but very real matter and the Russian economy has displaced Germany from the 5th place.
