A Logistics company needs Manager – Fleet & Journey Operations**

Position: Logistics Manager – Fleet & Journey Operations

Job Objective:
To head the complete Fleet & Journey Operations as a Logistics Service Provider to our esteemed clients.

Responsibilities/Role:
- Responsible for planning, directing, managing, coordinating, and supervising the programs for acquisition, assignment, utilization, maintenance, repair, replacement, and disposal of fleet vehicles. The Fleet Manager will serve as the primary contact concerning the vehicle fleet and operations and will make the ultimate decision on whether a vehicle is safe to have on the road.
- Optimize fleet utilization to maximize productivity and minimize downtime, ensuring the fastest and most timely logistics services to clients.
- Implement best practices for route planning and load optimization.
- Monitor real-time tracking and ensure visibility of fleet movements via IVMS Software and Manual operations of Fleet.
- Ensure strict adherence to HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) regulations specific to the oil & gas industry.
- Implement and enforce fleet safety policies, including driver training and vehicle maintenance.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements related to fleet operations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
- Control operational costs (fuel, maintenance, driver expenses) and optimize expenditure in line with Fleet Ops Budgets.
- Ensure timely preventive maintenance and servicing of vehicles to minimize breakdowns.
- Optimize fleet replacement strategy based on vehicle lifecycle and utilization rates.
- Leverage technology for predictive maintenance and real-time fleet monitoring.
- Utilize data analytics for decision-making on routes, fuel consumption, and fleet optimization.
- Lead and mentor a team of fleet Supervisors and drivers.
- Conduct training programs for drivers on safety, compliance, and efficient driving techniques.
- Foster a culture of accountability and performance excellence from the team and fleet operations personnel.

Job Specification:
- Skills/Qualifications/Personal Qualities/Other Competencies
- Qualified Graduate (any stream) with a minimum of 10 years of experience** in Heading Logistics/Fleet Operations in a Logistics Service Provider Company serving Oil & Gas clients.
- Strong expertise in Fleet control, route planning, vehicle management, fleet preventive and breakdown maintenance, data analysis for corrective measures, safety and regulatory compliance, and fuel consumption planning and cost control.
- Comfortable in the usage of GPS/Logistics Fleet Operations Software and Technology.
