Originally from Moscow, this chain of pink-and-yellow themed breakfast spots has already claimed its place in the hearts of many locals. Their breakfast options are varied and exquisite, if a little bit pricey — making them a great place for all kinds of celebrations and special days out. Come early: there tend to be little queues on weekends.

A new coffee shop by the local roasters Bolshe Kofe, this one is hidden in a courtyard near the Mayakovskaya metro station. Come here for good coffee, tasty desserts, and, of course, if you need to replenish your coffee bean stash at home.

Close to ITMO’s Lomonosova campus, this one’s a cozy coffee shop with a spacious coworking desk. On the menu, you can find both breakfast and lunch options, as well as decadent desserts — and, naturally, tasty coffee.

Humbl Cookies

Though you can get coffee here, Humbl is primarily a New York-style cookie place: their cookies are ginormous, perfectly crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. Their first spot in the city is right opposite the Lomonosova campus and is already taking the city by storm: every day, there is a small queue of people waiting for their delicious cookie bite.
