SINNING IN PUBLIC

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) emphasized the gravity of publicizing one's sins. He said: "All of my Ummah will be forgiven except those who commit sins openly. Among them is a man who commits a sin at night, and in the morning, after Allah has concealed his sin, he says, 'O so-and-so, I did such-and-such yesterday,' when his Lord had concealed his sin all night, but he discloses what Allah had concealed" (Sahih al-Bukhari).

This highlights that one of the major problems with public sinning is the disregard for Allah's mercy and the encouragement of sinful behavior by making it seem acceptable
