South Africa: The Electoral Court has set aside an attempt by the Electoral Commission to bar former president Jacob Zuma (MK, *) from contesting a parliamentary seat.

This decision — which comes after the ANC’s failed bid to have the MK party’s registration be declared unlawful — opens the door for Zuma to run for a seat in the National Assembly on the MK list.
