Over time, as children grow older, the relationship they have with their parents changes. In your opinion, what role should parents have in their adult children’s lives?
Children’s all needs—from food to their education—are covered by their parents, between their infancy and by the time they turn 18, as they are dependent, and this is the very parental responsibility of fathers and mothers. However, this has to change at some point in life; every little bird has to leave his nest to build his, so relationships have to change. It does not mean that this is the finish line of a parent's care and support for their beloved ones, as they now need to help their offspring navigate life with their wisdom and guidance.
Children evolving into adulthood change the role of parents, from just a breadwinner and a carer to people who guide and nurture their adult child with their experience and knowledge gained throughout life. This, however, requires them to be very careful because they would not want to put their adult children’s autonomy in jeopardy. So, communication is one of the most important aspects when it comes to dealing with grown-up children. In other words, parents now should use talking technique rather than ordering one to effectively support their adult children, respecting and taking their opinions into account and offering advice and help. For example, when an adult child makes a mistake, now parents can share their experience of the similar incident that happened in their life and try to draw a proper conclusion instead of telling what to do directly.
Later on in life, both adult children and their parents understand that they have this interdependence on each other so that they both need to focus on building mutual respect and avoid having major conflicts. As the reverse may result in broken relationships between children and their parents, putting extra pressure on the new members of society and making things even more challenging to grasp, especially when the real world seems chaotic and the most help and support is needed from the elders of the family. Although examples of such cases are quite frequently seen in western cultures, it is becoming normal to hear spoilt children mess up their lives—immediately getting divorced after getting married or suffering addiction to certain substances just after starting a big life—all of which partially can be a result of misdirecting and lack of support by the parents of those.
In conclusion, parental roles can change their nature as children grow older, only putting more serious responsibilities on the former and requiring them to be more cautious, or else the latter can find it difficult to start their new journey.

**Some feel that individuals today spend too much time following political news while others feel politics deserves greater attention.
Discuss both sides and give your opinion.**
Online media has revolutionized the way people keep up to date with the news; politics is no exception. Some people are concerned that we are consuming too much political news, while others say it should remain a central topic of our daily lives. Although consumption of considerable amounts of political news can raise some concerns, information overload being an example, I believe individuals should be encouraged to get their political literacy to the next level with contemporary ways possible.
It is sensible to see people spending a substantial amount of their time following political news. As it is clear, the media raises whatever is controversial, politics being all the time best. With people being connected to their electronic devices, especially living their lives on social media platforms, they tend to suffer the impact of media bias. This eventually leads to political polarization, as it fosters partisan politics among society.
However, in my view, public awareness of political affairs remains the very civic responsibility of each individual. It is because political engagement is a foundational pillar of democratic governance, and people need to keep up with current events, such as electoral processes or social activism. Especially social media offers a chance to raise public awareness and a place for political discourse where everybody can weigh in on the things happening around them.
In summary, an abundant supply of political news can sometimes cause individuals to feel overwhelmed or come to wrong conclusions in general; this should not prevent them from getting updated on the news of politics.

In some countries, young people have become richer, healthier, and can benefit from more safety, but they are less happy.
What are the causes?
What can be done to address this situation?
It is undeniably true that the world has become a better place to live compared to the previous centuries. Especially the young generation, in some parts of the world, are now better off, living healthier, and can enjoy the safety nets available today, although they don’t seem to be living happily. There are several reasons why this can be the case, such as developing the wrong values as a result of unprecedented wealth or consumer culture that we have today. However, there are certain steps that can be taken to tackle the problem by both individuals and the communities as a whole.
Having a great deal of money, either inherited from the family or generated from one’s career, can lead to shaping a materialistic mindset. Young people these days tend to overvalue material possessions and physical comfort more than other important spiritual aspects of one’s well-being. This, however, will eventually result in feeling emotional disconnect or cultural alienation, as they don’t usually reflect on their feelings or connect with people around them to share and learn spiritual wisdom.
Businesses and governments focussing constantly on consumer experience can be another cause, as it promotes pursuing a never-ending cycle of new products, leaving people exhausted and mentally drained. When individuals chase materials and only focus on spending money to enjoy life at a society level, they can find themselves running in a marathon that never ends as companies continue inventing new products. Taking Apple iPhones as an example, the company introduces new models of gadgets once a year.
Young individuals should focus on developing the right values by doing mindfulness practices. As those practices promote awareness of the present moment, people are able to feel connected to the world around them. On a societal level, policy reform could help to improve the overall well-being of people. The main focus shouldn’t be on just consumerism but social interactions among people when developing a product or a service. Community-building activities should be organised to enhance relationships among people.
In conclusion, although young people happiness is relied on materialism and consumer culture, they should cultivate mindfulness and spiritual well-being, and communities should prioritise social connections over consumerism to foster a balanced and fulfilling life.

Day 3: Writing Challenge:
Climate change is a phenomenon that affects countries all over the world. Many people strongly believe that it is the responsibility of individuals, rather than corporations and governments, to deal with this problem.
To what extent do you agree?
Climate change is a central topic that concerns us all. There are different views on who should be responsible for tackling the issue; some argue it is the people rather than the officials or businesses. Personally, I disagree with this point and believe that we all have a fair share of responsibility to solve this problem as individuals, corporations, and governments.
There is a list of achievable ways people can make a difference. One of them is making your voice heard by those in power and the public. Given the critical state of the problem—high rates of greenhouse gas emissions, environmental degradation, and overexploited natural resources—one should not think that personal actions are just enough. Go public, be an example, and, more importantly, try to raise the awareness of the officials and the public in general. Offering projects to your community and sharing posts about the steps you are taking on social media are just a few examples of how we can do that. Moreover, individuals can do a lot to mitigate the situation by cutting their consumption of energy resources. We can start using household facilities that use less energy or the ones that save it, such as LED light bulbs. By reducing your energy use, you can cut your bills too, which is a financial advantage for you and an environmental one for the world.
Large-scale measures can also be taken with the help of governments and businesses. Firstly, the officials should give absolute priority to the protection and restoration of ecosystems. They can establish rules to protect natural habitats like rives, wetlands, and forests, all of which help to prevent climate change by absorbing carbon dioxide and reducing sea levels resulting from global warming. Corporations have the ability to encourage, at least their employees, to use sustainable transportation. They can, for example, promote incentives for public transport and electric vehicle use, maybe setting awards for green employees. They can also adopt sustainable practices or energy-efficient technologies. By giving adoption the significance it deserves by transitioning to green technologies, businesses can do their part in the mitigation process.
In conclusion, although some may think climate change and all the problems it poses can be dealt with with just personal steps, I firmly believe that we have to collaborate on initiatives to effectively solve the issue.
