When a car misses weight, they let teams fuel it to the brim, run the pumps to make sure the fuel is in all the lines, and run the water/coolant system to make sure it's topped off as well. Impressive to think where someone hid 17lbs (7.7kgs) or where that load went over the course of a race given how tightly homologated the NextGen cars are.
