I had a lot of fun collaborating on this project with NBC Sports for their Paris Olympics coverage! @NBCSports

Broadcast motion graphics is an area of animation I have always wanted to get more involved in, but this project with NBC Sports was beyond what I could have imagined.

The design and animation both captured the art and architectural history of Paris and also felt unique, inclusive and modern. I hadn’t seen this style of design for a sporting event before, and it made me super pumped and very grateful to be a part of this project.

In this reel, I share some of the interstitial animations and templates I created for NBC Sports Paris Olympics coverage.

Oh, and the music in this reel was composed by me. I’m proud of that too. Enjoy! �

In Top Tip Tuesday this week, toTree is used to generate a network of non-intersecting branch splines within a Wolf head object volume, which is then used to emit particles. We build an nxQuestion rig to generate spawned particles using fields and animate them using the nxScale and nxPush modifiers. Finally, nxColor is used, to apply a color gradient to particles based on their position within the scene object volume.

I´m excited because finally we get a all-new Cinema 4D version! Cinema 4D 2025 is out and it comes with lot´s of cool new features to play with.

I will create tutorials on different new features and tools but today I want to focus on some new stuff for the particles engine.

To be more precise: Let´s combine the follow spline modifier with other modifiers to create a Maxon Logo.

Of course you can and should apply this knowledge to your own logo made out of particles.
