Recently, I won an EYUF stipendium. There were some mistakes I made in the first stipendium, which I analyzed. Here they are:
1. Believing I am ready and I don't need preparation. I thought I could improvise, but turns out, that it's not a perfect place to make your answers on spot. If you don't prepare, others definitely will.
Not paying attention to the cultural/patriotism part. Even if it is 33% of the total mark, it is still incredibly significant in elevating your score.
Not communicating with people who were interviewed. They might know the atmosphere of the interview and it can be a game-changer down the line.
Today, I had the opportunity to conduct over 10 interviews as NewUU Winter school mentor. It was my first time interviewing, and it was a valuable experience to connect with so many people in such a short time.
One thing that I was convinced: your ENERGY MATTERS! Whether in person or virtually, enthusiasm and positivity can be contagious. When candidate was engaged and happy, I noticed a corresponding shift in my interactions as well. I seemed more open, and willing to listen to their experiences.
Preparation also played a crucial role in maintaining their energy. Having a clear understanding of their project and having clear direction made them look more confident. This not only benefited me, but also created a smoother and more enjoyable experience for the candidates.
My experience also reminded me of the concept of conviction bias. This refers to the tendency to favor information that confirms our existing beliefs.
Recently finished the book "Four agreements". I've always questioned why am I the way I am and why do I act certain way. This book was a partial answer to my questions.
Main message of the book is be impeccable with your word, don't take anything personally, don't make assumptions and always do your best.
While some of its contents may have been controversial to what I think is right, I thought it was okay. I got what I got from the book and did not take it personally)
Recommended to read. Short one, about 70 pages)
Today was the start of the academic year in Uzbekistan, a day that always meant a lot to me. As I looked through the school pictures, every corner brings back the best memories of my time there.
To all the teachers and students, I want to wish for an amazing year ahead! Don't stress too much in the beginning – ease into it and build up the challenge. Wish you best of luck).
How was the first day for you?

How to be better person?
Don't ask people uncomfortable questions. If they didn't feel comfortable telling you about some event in their life, just don't ask.
Another example could be release of results(DTM or A levels for example). Each individual's journey is unique, and factors beyond their control might have influenced their performance.
You could have heard about them if you were important to them or if they wanted to share it (harsh reality). Some are not keen on sharing things and you should respect boundaries.
It's okay to be curious, but stay kind)
Do you agree?
The problem is I don't live in the moment. I do, but not as much. It's more about living in present rather than past or worrying about future.
Capture Moments, Not Just Photos:
Don't just take millions of pics, pause and absorb the scene with your own eyes. Focus on creating lasting memories along with the pics.
Constantly striving for perfection can lead to dissatisfaction and a missed chance to enjoy the journey. Embrace the idea of progress over perfection and celebrate the small victories along the way.
it's also about appreciating the people in our lives and building strong connections with them. So, when you talk to your family and friends, give them your full attention.
