Badger and I met a mother at a social event who is, like we are, concerned about HOW to effect change.

We have a vision for a better world, but it requires certain core foundations before any of that is possible.

What I know:
1. We must build and utilize skills for independence. (Think self sufficient, traditional life skills.)
2. Local - NEIGHBORHOOD local - community is vital.

What I DON'T know:
HOW to convince the neighborhood.

We are at a loss.

"Be the change you wish to see in the world." We have been doing our best to live this philosophy. However, the change we wish to see requires more than families doing it all on their own. It requires cooperation. It requires that at least some outside ourselves participate.

I know we are not alone, but most of us who dream of a better world, a FREE world, those of us who are trying to "be the change," remain largely isolated and distant from others who share this dream... In spite of the glaring truth that our dream can never be realized without the shared effort of our immediate neighbors.

Thus our quandary.

Do we all walk away and begin building communes with like-minded dreamers? Or is there a piece we are missing... Some method, approach, plan, baby steps to begin changing the hearts and minds of our neighbors away from what is familiar and most convenient, to seek difficult change for themselves and the future we ALL share?

Discuss. Positive input - let's avoid empty, unproductive complaints.

Starter pack for clean eating on a budget:

First, know that the food pyramid is a lie, and prepare to unlearn everything the government, medical, and food industries have told you.

NO PROCESSED ITEMS
Don't buy things that HAVE ingredients. Just buy ingredients. Real, whole food.

NO STORE CHICKEN OR PORK
If you cannot afford meat that is all natural and pasture raised, stick with beef.
(Chicken and pig have simple digestive systems, and retain more toxins. Cows have a more complex digestive system, which filters out far more of the toxins. Still best to buy all natural, pasture raised meat from a farmer when you can... but at least cutting store pork and chicken will help.)

NO SEED OILS
(vegetable, canola, soy, palm, cottonseed, rapeseed, sunflower, safflower, etc)
Seed oils are toxic regardless of how "organic" they claim to be. Margarine is plastic. Butter is GOOD.

Good fats:
Animal - tallow, lard, and butter from all natural, grass fed, pasture raised animals.
Plant - only extra virgin olive oil, coconut, and avocado. Organic where possible.

NO STORE DAIRY
If you cannot access raw dairy from natural, pasture raised cows, don't touch it. Store dairy is dead and toxic due to pasteurization and homogenization, plus the unnatural diets and the toxins contained therein. If you must, try to stick with organic and grass fed butter, yogurt, and sour cream, with no added sugar, preservatives, or other filler.

NO SUGAR
Cane sugar and beet sugar are among the worst drugs on the planet. Sugar is not food. Use VERY rarely, and only raw and organic when needed.

NO MODERN WHEAT
Wheat today is poison. It has 60 times the amount of gluten compared to what your grandparents ate. This perforates your digestive tract - pokes holes in it - allowing proteins into your bloodstream that should be there, causing allergic and immune responses to foods that should be safe. The chemicals used to bleach and process flour today also destroy your kidney cells.
I could go on. You don't need grains at all, but if you want them, stick with ancient grains. Einkorn, kamut, and spelt are good strains of wheat.

I know some of you are upset about the Trump ruling.

But I see God's plan, and the silver lining:

This opens the door to educate the public on the true function of the jury.

The job of the jury is more than saying whether the accused did or did not do what the government is prosecuting them for.

The bigger and more important job of the jury is to examine the law itself, and declare whether or not the law is valid... And REFUSE TO CONVICT for an invalid law which violates the liberty of the accused.
