Serenity a poison made as deadly as any other.
It pacifies you and induces a state of mind.
In which you do not even recognize the most essential
Tributes of your existence
Our war is a wakeup call
It will bring us back where we belong
It will provide for us a reason for our existence
This is not the war to end all wars
This is the war that will never end...
All field lie fallow.
All grounds are ripe with blood.
Words echo hollow.
When every ploughshare's made a sword.
Our past sufferings were lessons,
and for every lesson we took our will got only stronger. These decades of misery were a lesson, and for each minute that passed our goal got only closer.
And the final lesson, and it's final assignment, we give you this day. Take whatever you have at hand and turn it into a weapon. Take whatever feelings you have left and turn them into hatred.
For there are no losers in our war. It brings glory to the victors, it edifies the character of the noble defeated. And it makes extinct what should not exist in the first.
And when our day comes...
All field lie fallow.
All grounds are ripe with blood.
Words echo hollow.
When every ploughshare's made a sword.
Comfort is the most dangerous enemy faced today. It lingers and renders you incapable of any action worthwhile.

"Here's a story. A man saves another who was sinking into a slimy pond... thereby risking his own life. Now they are both lying on the edge of the pond out of breath, exhausted. The rescued man says, "Idiot. Why did you do that? I live there!" He took great offence"
- Andrei Gorchakov (Oleg Yankovskiy) - Nostalghia 1983
"One of the tragedies of the democratic drift is that profound truths may become truisms without being incorporated in legislative action, especially those truths that require to be imaginatively perceived. Should forty million people find their white blood corpuscles called forth to fight against the deadly germs of typhus, their need would be sufficiently obvious for the politician to bring the resources of the State to their assistance - the more hurriedly in that to the perverted typhus germ a politician makes as appetizing a meal as anybody else. But should those forty million people be fighting a battle no less desperate against all the nameless armies of decadence and ruin that threaten the spirit, the politician can be trusted to observe nothing and therefore not to be diverted from his major business in life, which is service to his own career. Lack of appreciation of this fact, or else a subconscious acquiescence in its implications on the part of the parasitical overlords, has led many a civilization to disaster and many a nation to its grave.
Evidence of national neurosis today is only too abundant. The almost unbelievable shifts and stratagems and blundering follies of modem democratic governments represent one of its facets. The brazen and suicidal rampages of vested interests represent another. The astounding depravity of the Press represents a third. Evidence even more direct is supplied by the facile and poisonous Utopianism of the post-War period: the meaningless catchwords and slogans, the advocacy of the brave new world by human leeches sticking frantically to the bad old order, the failure of the Conservative to conserve, the inability of the Progressive to progress, the murder of the intellect by the intellectuals, and above all the hanging, drawing and quartering of Peace by pacifists who in the frenzy of their hysteria howl and dance and shriek for war. All these things indicate something more than a mental or spiritual stammer, they indicate a strongly entrenched neurosis which is the spirit's cancer and the trumpeter of death."
- A. K. Chesterton
Traversing the Marketplace of Ideas.
I cannot begin to describe this cretinous existence of mine. Nor how lonely it is to be without family or friends. The only white man in this country, perhaps on this whole continent. Meanwhile I have become the father of 62 children; but, this gives me no satisfaction. Perhaps next year I shall come back and marry. I would live in the lands of the ice and snow, anywhere to be away from here. The heat here is mean and inescapable. It courses through the bodies of people like a fever, and yet, my heart grows colder and colder.
- Francisco Manoel da Silva - Cobra Verde 1987
Great political questions can never be approached superficially, with cursory effort. This is why the states make a distinction between public and private, legitimacy and legality, protection and duty. Regarding a particular case today, that of mass immigration, we should remember the ancient idea that the people forms its own walls, a will of state protection much greater than the borders.
This is why we must not look to representative politics today, a dead form which can only extend the catastrophe.
