At COP29, the emphasis on nuclear energy as a climate solution is growing, with new countries joining the movement for massive expansion. Armenia, Kazakhstan, Moldova and Ukraine have already joined the Declaration during to triple global nuclear capacity by 2050.

However, civil society warns of delays, high costs, and serious environmental and geopolitical risks.

♻️ We cannot afford to lose another couple of decades on nuclear investments. The public budgets of the EECCA countries should prioritize energy efficiency measures and deployment of renewable energy.
