*Abu al-Wafāʾ Ibn ʿAqīl states,

“If you wish to know where Islam [really] lies in relation to the people of any era, then do not look to their crowding at the doors of the masajid, nor to their loud proclamations of 'Labbayk' at the mawqif [i.e. Arafah]. Rather, look to their concurrence with the enemies of the shari'a.”*
May Allāh guide the Muslims out of this state of weakness into an age of strength.

Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said:

“Abandoning desires for the sake of Allāh will rescue the servant from the punishment of Allāh and will guarantee one to obtain His mercy. The precious qualities of Allāh, the treasure of piety, pleasure, longing for Him, joy and the happiness found in being close to Him will never happen to the heart that cares for anyone or anything besides Allāh - even if he was among the people of worship, piety, and knowledge.”

[al-Fawā’id]

“If a fool speaks, do not answer him.

It is better than answering him to remain silent.

If you speak to him, you will relieve him

If you leave him alone, he will die.”
