ELLE DECOR: Just one of many rooms featured in the pages of Peter Marino’s (@petermarinoarchitect) new book, this Hamptons home office spares no details. This becomes clear with one look at its cerused oak floors and the glossy artwork by Michal Rovner—which act as ideal complements to the stunning Shinnecock Bay views afforded by the house’s oversized windows. In fact, reflecting the natural environment in his carefully built one was Marino’s goal for this project from day one: “My approach to residential design is heavily influenced by the site and functionality of the house and the way the clients want to live,” the ELLE DECOR A-List Titan says.

Inspired by the bright, open, wide and prestigious street on which the property is located, Marika Dru, founder of Atelier MKD, renovated this flat in a modern key, while retaining its authentic Parisian character. The architect's creative spirit was inspired by the large doors, huge windows and very high ceilings of the house. And the professional has transposed these interesting volumes into the rest of the flat to create a unique and timeless place.
