Along the journey for implementing a secured and automated packaging-as-code pipeline, the ØKN team is integrating Reproducible Builds. This key aspect aligns with ØKN's mission to ensure the highest level of security and transparency for our community across the full stack of technologies.

What are Reproducible Builds? Reproducible builds, also known as deterministic builds, are a process where software is compiled in such a way that it produces the exact same binary output each time. This allows others to independently verify that a binary was created from a specific source code, eliminating the risk of tampering.

Why is this important? In cybersecurity, trust is crucial, while in trustless blockchain decentralization, a core principle is "Don't Trust, Verify." Reproducible builds allow independent verification that a product matches its source code, ensuring no hidden malware and reducing the risk of attacks on build machines and developers. For ZerOS, this means core components running on our secured infrastructure are independently verifiable, strengthening the integrity of the ØKN ecosystem.

Where Might This Go Next? Onto the AppChain! Imagine recording each built component’s unique identifier on the ØKN AppChain, creating an immutable record for verifiable authenticity, securing the build identifiers themselves. This adds another layer of security and decentralization to our distribution pipeline. The future of verifiable secure infrastructure is just around the corner — stay tuned for more.

- Beta Testers' Dive In: Following the recent network deployment supporting more blockchains, our Beta Testers have been exploring the support and limitations of generic wallet integration with custom blockchain RPC, further making the case for custom wallet integration to reach the fullest potentials of Privacy by Default.

- Developing RPC Partnership Program: As the team gains deeper insights into the technical aspects of private blockchain RPCs, we’re also developing an initial partnership program to enhance these capabilities.
