تاریخ سیاست خارجی ایران از زمان روی کار آمدن صفویان تا پایان سلطنت رضاشاه، به پژوهش و قلم روح‌الله رمضانی، در کتاب حاضر بررسی شده است. رمضانی در این اثر، علاوه بر توصیف نظام‌مند و تحلیل انتقادی تاریخ سیاست خارجی ایران، اسناد دست اول و منابع آرشیوی قابل توجهی را بررسی کرده و، از آن مهم‌تر، مبنایی نظری را با عنوان «مدل تعامل سه‌جانبه‌ی پویا» طرح کرده است.
در این کتاب، تلاش نخبگان سیاسی برای ماندگاری کشور و پیگیری منافع ملی ایران از منظری آرمان‌گرایانه در شبکه‌های قدرت داخلی، منطقه‌ای و بین‌المللی بررسی شده است. رمضانی نخستین پژوهشگر دانشگاهی و صاحب‌سبک در موضوع سیاست خارجی کشورهای در حال توسعه با تمرکز بر ایران بود و آنچه در دست دارید اولین پژوهش علمی در باب سیاست خارجی ایران است.

#Hegel

تاریخ قوم ایران در زبان و ادب فارسی مستور است و این مهم تنها با بازخوانی نظم و نثر حاصل نمی‌شود. از لوازم سخن گفتن آن است که خانه بپردازی یا با خدای خانه درسازی و این گفته سعدی برای آن است که زبان فارسی تداوم ذخائر واژگانی است که امکان زیست خردورزانه را فراهم ساخته است. از ماکیاوللی تا هگل، از گوته تا نیچه به اهمیت امر ملی ایران، برای رنسانس و ایده آلیسم متجدد خود خبر داشتند و از آن استفاده کردند. قبل از دولت کشورهای ناسیونال مدرن ایتالیا و آلمان، ایران دولت کشور دارای ملت بوده است و نیاز به بازخوانی روشی، مفهومی و فلسفی از آنها برای ایران نیستیم.
آگاهی قوم ایران در پرتو فهم حافظ حاصل شدنی است و دیوان حافظ دریچه‌ای است به تاریخ نویسی ملی ایران. اما این امر در سایه احساسات فرقه ای و قومیتی از یک سو و آگاهی های کاذب ایدئولوژیک از سوی دیگر تبدیل به بازنمایی روایت هستی شناسی اندوهبار گشته است.
بعد از آنکه سیاست نامه سعدی را نوشتم در حال نوشتن اندیشه حافظ به مثابه پدیدار روح ایران هستم.
امید که روزگار مرا یاری دهد تا به سرانجام رسانم.
