Elon Musk faces a legal investigation in Brazil after becoming embroiled in a public row with a supreme court judge over an order requiring the social network X to take down some far-right accounts.

Justice Alexandre de Moraes had issued a court order forcing the site formerly known as Twitter to block several users as part of his investigation into the former president Jair Bolsonaro’s attempts to stay in power after his 2022 election defeat.

The order also barred the social network from publishing details of which accounts were blocked, and came with fines of about £16,000 a day for failure to comply. Now, Musk says, the company will reverse those blocks. The multibillionaire also called on Moraes to resign or be impeached.

First-year UCLA medical students were forced to sit through a bizarre lecture by a pro-Hamas activist who made them pray to 'mama Earth' while a faculty member sought to identify one student who refused to do so.

Lisa Gray-Garcia gave the two-hour presentation at Geffen Hall, on the university's downtown Los Angeles Campus on March 27, the Washington Free Beacon reported.

The lecture was a mandatory part of the Structural Racism and Health Equity class that all future doctors must take, administered by pediatrician Lindsay Wells.

Dashcam footage shows Texas National Guardsman's arrest for allegedly smuggling migrant - FOX NEWS

A Texas National Guardsman was arrested on Sunday for allegedly smuggling an illegal immigrant across the southern border, with dashcam footage obtained by Fox News showing the moment he was arrested — just as Gov. Greg Abbott’s office said the man is a "traitor and criminal" if the charges are true.

The Texas Department of Public Safety confirmed to Fox News that it arrested Savion Johnson in Brackettville, Texas, on charges of evading arrest, smuggling of persons and unlawful carry of a weapon, while stressing that it was an ongoing investigation.

Kinney County Sheriff Brad Coe confirmed that the individual being arrested is a Texas National Guard soldier. A source with the Texas National Guard also confirmed that he is a Texas guardsman, and also confirmed he was smuggling the migrant in a government vehicle.

California's $20 fast food minimum wage takes effect. Here's how it could impact San Diego - NBC SAN DIEGO

On April 1, “fast” will come at a higher price.

A new law in California will raise the minimum wage for fast food workers to $20 per hour and employers say having to pay their workers more will trickle down to the customer.

Food chains like Mcdonald's, Chipotle Mexican Grill and Jack in the Box plan to raise menu prices to compensate for the required wage increase. Other food business owners said they’ll have to do the same to keep up.

When it takes effect, fast food workers in California will have the highest guaranteed base salary in the industry. The state’s minimum wage for all other workers — $15.50 per hour — is already among the highest in the United States.

UK university confuses Sikhs with Muslims after 'langar' event - INDIA TODAY

The Sikh community in the UK slammed the University of Birmingham for confusing the community with Muslims in a social media post. Members of the Sikh community expressed their disappointment and said, "these mistakes should not happen in 2024".

The University deleted the post and issued an apology for mistakenly stating that a recent 'langar' (community meal) event organised by its Sikh students was associated with an Islamic awareness week, according to The Birmingham Mail on Monday.
