"A minority judged Zionism positively, considering the return of the Jews to the Holy Land to be providential; a passage towards their general conversion, and a sign of the imminence of the Second Coming."
(sounds like Scofields dispensationalism aka Christian Zionism, human manufactured eschatology, false Messianism)

The majority view, favored by La Civiltà Cattolica, was extremely hostile to the entire Zionist Movement. It continued to see the Jewish Diaspora as a punishment of the People of Israel for Christ’s Crucifixion. Moreover, the Jewish migration into Palestine was attacked for its blatant secularism, and its consequent promotion of a modernization of the region destructive of the sacred and moral character of the Holy Land.

In an article of 1937 entitled “The Jewish Question and Zionism,” La Civiltà Cattolica condemned the Movement as nothing other than a third example of secularist Jewish effort to dominate the world, the occupation of the globe’s most sacred space accompanying its monopolization of the capitalist financial world and its role in promoting revolutionary Bolshevism.

World War One had already convinced the Papacy that Europe was dedicated to its self-destruction and that the future of the Roman Catholic Church had to be secured through its world-wide development.

Little could anyone in the still Catholic pontificate of Pius XII imagine that in the not-too-distant future, the dominant opinion within the Roman Church would view secularist Pluralism as the best support for the freedom of the Christian world, and the Old Covenant as an equal with the New(the apostasy of Vatican2)—and this, just as Jewish and Arab Moslem religious revival were reaching their peak.
Little could anyone then have foreseen that the Vatican would consider prayer at the Holy Places as “as non-essential” as prayer anywhere else under the tyrannical reign of the COVID God—regardless of who might be in control of them.

The Enlightenment, The Pursuit of Happiness 1680-1790

"Besides the agency of philosophers and administrators, however, I have tried in what follows to take account of larger, impalpable shifts in outlook, for which I have already used the term 'mentality' as a useful shorthand. An essential precondition for the Enlightenment was the Protestant Reformation, which changed the way people understood reality. It helped to weaken the belief in the supernatural, whether in the magic offered by the Church (e.g. the alleged transformation of bread and wine into the body and blood of Christ) or in the natural world. It contributed to what the sociologist Max Weber would much later call the 'disenchantment of the world'. And it undermined the Church's authority: instead of a single Church, there were now Churches with diverse attitudes to authority, and theology became a subject about which laymen too could argue."

Vatican2, joining the Principles of the Freemasonic Liberal Revolution

Both CCC 818 and Lumen Gentium 14-16 say that Protestants have the right to be called Christians through common faith in Christ and baptism.

——-—————————————————-——————————————————————————————————————————--

"Furthermore, in this one Church of Christ no man can be or remain who does not accept, recognize and obey the authority and supremacy of Peter and his legitimate successors."
- Pope Pius 11, Mortalium Animos (#11), Jan. 6, 1928

It [the Holy Roman Church] condemns, rejects and anathematizes all who think opposed and contrary things, and declares them to be aliens from the Body of Christ, which is the Church."
- Pope Eugene IV, Council of Florence, "Cantate Domino," 1441

"For no one can be in the Church of Christ without being in unity with its visible head and founded on the See of Peter."
Pope Pius VI, Caritas (# 32), April 13, 1791

These cannot be reconciled together. Either everything Pre V2 is wrong, or everything post V2 is wrong and fulfills 2Th2 & Apoc17/18.

Show how Protestants have no absolute faith in Christ

Jesus Christ says: “Hear the Church.”
“No,” say Luther and all Protestants, “do not hear the Church; protest against her with all your might.”

Jesus Christ says: “If anyone will not hear the Church, look upon him as a heathen and a publican.”
“No,” says Protestantism, “if anyone does not hear the Church, look upon him as an apostle, an ambassador of God.”

Jesus Christ says: “The gates of hell shall not prevail against My Church.”
“No,” says Protestantism. “This is false, the gates of hell have prevailed against the Church for a thousand years and more.”

Jesus Christ has declared Saint Peter and every successor to Saint Peter – the Pope – to be His Vicar on earth.
“No,” says Protestantism, “the Pope is Antichrist.”

Jesus Christ says: “My yoke is sweet, and my burden light.” (Matt.11:30.)
“No,” said Luther and Calvin, “it is impossible to keep the Commandments.”

Jesus Christ says: “If thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.” (Matt. 19:17.)
“No,” said Luther and Calvin, “faith alone, without good works, is sufficient to enter into life everlasting.”

Jesus Christ says: “Unless you do penance, you shall all likewise perish.” (Luke 3:3.)
“No,” said Luther and Calvin, “fasting and other works of penance are not necessary in satisfaction for sin.”

Jesus Christ says: “This is my body.”
“No,” said Calvin, “this is only the figure of Christ’s Body; it will become His Body as soon as you receive It.”

Jesus Christ says: “I say to you, that whosoever shall put away his wife, and shall marry another, committeth adultery; and he that shall marry her that is put away, committeth adultery.” (Matt. 19:9.)
“No,” say Luther and all Protestants, to a married man, “you may put away your wife, get a divorce, and marry another.”

Jesus Christ says to every man: “Thou shalt not steal.”
“No,” said Luther to secular princes, “I give you the right to appropriate to yourselves the property of the Roman Catholic Church.”

Do heretics speak in this manner also of the Holy Ghost and the Apostles? They do.

The Holy Ghost says in Holy Scripture: “Man knoweth not whether he be worthy of love or hatred.” (Eccles. 9:1.) “Who can say: My heart is clean, I am pure from sin?” (Prov. 20:9.) And, “Work out your salvation with fear and trembling” (Philip. 2:12).
“No,” said Luther and Calvin, “but whosoever believes in Jesus Christ, is in the state of grace.”

Saint Paul says: “If I should have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.” (I Cor. 13:2.)
“No,” said Luther and Calvin, “faith alone is sufficient to save us.”

Saint Peter says that in the Epistles of Saint Paul there are many things “hard to be understood, which the unlearned and unstable wrest, as also the other Scriptures, to their own perdition.” (II Pet. 3:16.)
“No,” said Luther and Calvin, “the Scriptures are very plain, and easy to be understood.”

Saint James says: “Is anyone sick among you? Let him bring in the priests of the Church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil, in the name of the Lord” (Chapter 5, verse 14).
“No,” said Luther and Calvin, “that is a vain and useless ceremony.”

Heresy denies all Faith

Heresy denies all Faith

Have heretics faith in Jesus Christ?
Saint Thomas Aquinas says: “It is absurd for a heretic to say that he believes in Jesus Christ. To believe in a person is to give our full consent to his word and to all he teaches. True Faith, therefore, is absolute belief in Jesus Christ and in all he taught. Hence, he who does not adhere to all that Jesus Christ has prescribed for our salvation, has no more the doctrine of Jesus Christ and of His Church, than the pagans, Jews, and Turks have.”
“He is,” says Jesus Christ, “but a heathen and a publican”; and therefore he will be condemned to hell.

Catholicism, Protestantism, & Capitalism

Catholics and Catholic societies succumb to the capitalist spirit, according to Fanfani, when faith fails. The result is that the world is judged by purely worldly criteria." A person then seeks "goods because he no longer believes in a faith that bounded his desires, and he no longer believes because he has experienced the pleasures of possession and influence."49 Such a person no longer believes in divine penalties and rewards, nor does such a person believe in the purpose of life as taught by generations of Catholics.
The "humanist conception of life” strengthened the capitalist spirit because it detached the "conception of wealth from its moral setting, and withdrawing the acquisition and use of goods from the influence of the rules and restrictions of religious morality." With the rise of Protestantism's many sects, States faced the issue of freedom of conscience which removed another obstacle to the capitalist spirit.
Fanfani explained: "Protestantism destroyed the unity of the State in the religious sphere and made its restoration impossible, so that King and subjects were faced with the problem of shelving the religious question in order to obtain such unity. Protestantism thus obliged the States to face the problem of freedom of conscience, which, advocated by authoritative Protestants, once solved, meant the removal of an obstacle to economic life and encouraged the tendency to count the religious question among problems that could be left out of reckoning. From that time forth the State became more favourably disposed towards capitalism; it had no longer a creed to defend, but only interests, and in this sphere it was not hard to reach an understanding," 50
Economic life could therefore become organized solely along criteria of utility that rested with economic or monetary value. The Protestant missionaries were important foot soldiers in this effort set forth in this book. They worked closely with America's plutocrats to Americanize the Church.

Pius IX on the Synagogue of Satan

Some of you, Venerable Brethren, may be surprised that the war which is now waging against the Catholic Church should spread so widely. But whoever knows the character, the aims, and the purpose of the sects, whether they call themselves Masonic or by any other name, and compares them with the character, manner, and extent of this war, by which the Church is assailed on almost every side, can certainly not doubt that this calamity is not to be attributed to the frauds and machinations of those sects. For from them is formed the synagogue of Satan, who orders his army against the Church of Christ, raises his banner, and comes to battle. Our predecessors, vigilant in Israel, denounced these sects to kings and peoples long ago, from their origins, and then repeatedly struck them with their condemnations. We too have not failed in this duty. Oh, if more confidence had been given to the supreme Pastors of the Church, on the part of those who could have repelled such a fatal pestilence! Instead, it has progressed through hiding places, slimy ravines and without ever interrupting its work, deceiving many with cunning frauds; and it has finally reached such a point that it has been able to come out of its labyrinth, and boast of being powerful and sovereign today. The crowd of their followers having now increased immensely, these impious sects believe that they have almost reached their goal, even if they have not yet reached the last goal. Having achieved what they had so desired, namely, to decide everything in most places, they now boldly direct the strength and authority acquired to the purpose of reducing the Church to the most severe slavery, to tear down the foundations on which she stands, to defile the divine imprints with which she shines brightly, and, still more, to annihilate her altogether. if it were ever possible, in the whole world, after having struck it with frequent blows, defeated and destroyed it.

This being so, Venerable Brethren, employ every means to defend the faithful entrusted to your care from the snares and contagion of these sects, and to save from perdition those who have unfortunately given their names to these sects. But above all, show and combat the error of those who, either deceived or deceived, are nevertheless not afraid to assert that nothing but social utility, progress, and mutual charity are sought from these obscure covens. Explain often to the faithful and impress on their souls the Pontifical Constitutions on the subject, and teach them that they affect not only the Masonic societies of Europe, but also all those of America and all others in the different regions of the whole world.

The History of Heresies and Their Refutation - St. Alphonsus Liguori

3 months, 3 weeks ago

The History of Heresies and Their Refutation
St Alphonsus Liguori (1696-1787) Aug.2

John Calvin adopted almost all the principal errors of Luther, who adopted almost all the errors of the ancient heretics, as we shall hereafterwards show in the refutation of Luther and Calvin. Prateolus (1) reckons two hundred and seven heretical doctrines, promulgated by Calvin, and another author (2) makes the number amount to fourteen hundred. At present will only speak of the principal errors of Calvin, and will give in the last part of the work particular treatise to refute them.
As regards the Holy Scriptures, Calvin, in his book against the Council of Trent (3), says the Church has no right to interpret and judge of the true sense of the Scriptures.

Council of Trent session IV canons:
Furthermore, in order to restrain petulant spirits, It decrees, that no one relying on his own skill, shall,—in matters of faith, and of morals pertaining to the edification of Christian doctrine, —wresting the sacred Scripture to his own senses, presume to interpret the said sacred Scripture contrary to that sense which holy mother Church,—whose it is to judge of the true sense and interpretation of the holy Scriptures,—hath held and doth hold; or even contrary to the unanimous consent of the Fathers.

Pope Leo XIII: Encyclical On the Study of Holy Scripture 1893:
14. God so disposing, as the Holy Fathers commonly teach, in order that men may investigate them with greater ardour and earnestness, and that what is attained with difficulty may sink more deeply into the mind and heart; and, most of all, that they may understand that God has delivered the Holy Scriptures to the Church, and that in reading and making use of His Word, they must follow the Church as their guide and their teacher. St. Irenaeus long since laid down, that where the charismata of God were, there the truth was to be learnt, and that Holy Scripture was safely interpreted by those who had the Apostolic succession.(33) His teaching, and that of other Holy Fathers, is taken up by the Council of the Vatican(1), which, in renewing the decree of Trent declares its "mind" to be this - that "in things of faith and morals, belonging to the building up of Christian doctrine, that is to be considered the true sense of Holy Scripture which has been held and is held by our Holy Mother the Church, whose place it is to judge of the true sense and interpretation of the Scriptures; and therefore that it is permitted to no one to interpret Holy Scripture against such sense or also against the unanimous agreement of the Fathers."(34) By this most wise decree the Church by no means prevents or restrains the pursuit of Biblical science, but rather protects it from error, and largely assists its real progress…the Holy Fathers, We say, are of supreme authority, whenever they all interpret in one and the same manner any text of the Bible, as pertaining to the doctrine of faith or morals; for their unanimity clearly evinces that such interpretation has come down from the Apostles as a matter of Catholic faith.

2Pet3:15 And account the longsuffering of our Lord, salvation; as also our most dear brother Paul, according to the wisdom given him, hath written to you:16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are certain things hard to be understood, which the unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, to their own destruction.17 You therefore, brethren, knowing these things before, take heed, lest being led aside by the error of the unwise, you fall from your own steadfastness.

2Th2:14 Therefore, brethren, stand fast; and hold the traditions which you have learned, whether by word, or by our epistle.

Heb13:7 Remember your prelates who have spoken the word of God to you; whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation,8 Jesus Christ, yesterday, and to day; and the same for ever.9 Be not led away with various and strange doctrines...
