☀️Goede morgen lieve rebellen☀️

Wat een dag was het gisteren! Met honderden rebellen voerden we actie op Eindhoven Airport. Wij waren met veel, we waren strijdbaar maar de politie was met nog veel meer... Een aantal rebellen zijn met harde hand weggeslagen, gearresteerd en naar het politiebureau gebracht. Ondertussen is iedereen veilig thuis💚

✊In de vertrek hal heeft een groep van honderden rebellen een fantastische sit-in gedaan. Er werd gespeeld door HANG YOUTH en de sfeer was krachtig.

Buiten lieten we met nog eens een hele grote groep rebbelen onze stem horen door een demonstratie. En brachten we onze boodschap duidelijk over naar de luchthaven en de overheid:
1: Halveer het aantal vluchten
2: Per directe stop op privé jets
3: Belast kerosine

Eindhoven Airport heeft vluchten verplaatst en gecanceld en onze actie heeft verschillende nieuws media gehaald. Al met al een super geslaagde dag.

Extinction Rebellion komt wederom massaal in actie tegen een van de grootste en meest destructieve vervuilers, de luchtvaart. En dit keer weer in Eindhoven!

Wij eisen van Eindhoven Airport:

1️⃣Halveer het aantal vluchten, 1000 vluchten minder op 41500 per jaar is een groengewassen neus.
2️⃣ Per directe stop op privéjets, niet pas per 2026.

Wij eisen van de overheid en van de EU:
3️⃣ Stop fossiele subsidies: belasting op kerosine nu!

We demand from Eindhoven Airport:
1️⃣ Halve the number of flights, 1000 fewer flights at 41500 per year is a greenwashed nose.
2️⃣ Immediately stop private jets, not until 2026.

We demand from the government and the EU:

Over 2 maanden roepen we samen Eindhoven airport ter verantwoording. We eisen dat de luchthaven direct stopt met onnodige vluchten en vervuilen en start met verantwoordelijkheid nemen voor de schade die ze de afgelopen decennia hebben aangericht.

📣 Na de geslaagde actie op Schiphol slaan Greenpeace & Extinction Rebellion wederom de handen ineen!

😢 Onze landbouw is ziek van de kunstmest, krachtvoer en pesticiden. Het resultaat; de verwoesting van zowel de Amazone als de Nederlandse natuur & landbouw. Zo zijn we al 80% van onze biodiversiteit kwijt en zijn onze bodems uitgeput.

🐄 Naast het oneindige dierenleed in de intensieve veehouderij lijden ook onze boeren; In de afgelopen 20 jaar is het aantal boeren gehalveerd door intensivering en schaalvergroting.

🏦De spin in het web is de Rabobank, want de bank financiert ruim 80% van de Nederlandse landbouw. Deze gifgroene 🤮 bank heeft nog steeds ruim 2 miljard (!) aan leningen uitstaan in kunstmest en pesticiden en is wereldwijd de op een na grootste financier van de ontbossing in Brazilië!

😡 Maar de Rabobank weigert mee te betalen aan het herstel van de schade die het heeft aangericht en laat zelfs de belastingbetaler opdraaien voor de kosten. Genoeg is genoeg!

Wij eisen dat de Rabobank STOPT MET VERWOESTEN EN START MET VERGOEDEN!

😢Our agriculture is sick of fertilizers, concentrates and pesticides. The result; the destruction of both the Amazon and Dutch nature & agriculture. We have already lost 80% of our biodiversity and our soils are depleted. 😢

🐄 In addition to the endless animal suffering in intensive livestock farming, our farmers also suffer. In the past 20 years, the number of farmers has halved due to intensification and upscaling.

🏦The spider in the web is Rabobank since it finances more than 80% of Dutch agriculture. This poison-green 🤮 bank still has over 2 billion (!) in outstanding loans in fertilizers and pesticides and is the world’s second largest financier of deforestation in Brazil!

😡But Rabobank refuses to pay for the repair of the damage it has done and even lets the taxpayer pay for the costs. Enough is enough!
