Imām Abū ‘Abdillāh Muḥammad Ibn Idrīs al-Shāfi’ī رضي الله عنه said:

“The people with the highest statuses are those who don't see their own status, and the ones who have the most virtue are those who don't see their own virtue."

Imām Abū ‘Abdillāh Muḥammad Ibn Idrīs al-Shāfi’ī رضي الله عنه said:

“No joy is equal to the company of brothers (believers) and no sadness is equal to departing from them."

[شعب الإيمان ٦/٥٠٤‏]

Imām Ibn ‘Abd al-Barr al-Mālikī رضي الله عنه stated:

"I don't know of any existing difference of opinion between the scholars that whoever goes (to the masjid) early, and waits for the prayer, even if he does not pray in the first row, is better then the one who is late and then passes over the rows to the first rows!”
