#commentary ... I drafted it without internet connection, and had to do few correction throughout (by copying and deleting queue), but it still got sent as copies. But now they're out, you can see the difference and pick for yourself which version you like better, I guess. I know it's just a couple of words difference, but if you're keen enough, that implication could change the interpretation of the story.

I knew this to be my honesty.

I didn't need them to answer me. Knowing that they trusted me enough to lean on me while they rested, knowing that they listened to my effort to comfort them, and that my words reached them—it was enough.

But they did anyway. They reached up a hand, took my face, and told me:

"Thank you. I'll try my best to keep your heart safe with me."*
