Virginia has proposed an annual fund of $39,240 for new AI and cryptocurrency commissions, with $17,192 allocated for the Blockchain and Cryptocurrency Commission and $22,048 for the Artificial Intelligence Commission.

The Blockchain and Cryptocurrency Commission is tasked with studying and making recommendations on blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies, as well as fostering their expansion within the state. It will comprise 15 members, including seven legislative and eight non-legislative members.

Similarly, the Artificial Intelligence Commission aims to develop and maintain policies that will eventually limit the use of AI to prevent unlawful activities.
