Decentralization has always been a core pillar of the Afreum mission. It builds trust and allows third parties to use the ecosystem without worrying about the behaviour of a centralized entity.

We are officially transitioning from the BUILD phase of Afreum to the DECENTRALIZATION and ADOPTION phase.

So what does DECENTRALIZATION mean for Afreum? It means:

1. The Afreum Ecosystem can exist without our direct involvement.
2. Third parties can build applications on it in a trustless way.
3. Users and community can use the ecosystem in a trustless way.
4. Improvements to the ecosystem are community-driven through Afreum DAO.

As part of the decentralization drive the Afreum Ecosystem will be optimized for speed and usability. Centralized features such as saving, staking, and rewards will be automated. APIs and incentives will be provided to third party developers.

In preparation for the DECENTRALIZATION of the Afreum ecosystem, we are migrating Afreum.com to new Web 2.0 servers. The move has been planned for a while to resolve issues with exchange rate APIs occasionally not loading and so on.
