Of course this only applies to real projects. And we know most of those "utility plays" are just larps/scams with only one goal: farm as much money as possible before people accepting it's a scam.

Imagine being a a "utility project" (a web3 business with it's own token) and deciding to operate on ETH instead of SOL, adding a 10$-40$ extra layer for every transaction your users have to make. Does it make sense? lmao

People calling for "ETH utility play season" will soon be calling for "SOL utility play season" because:

ETH's adoption narrative is broken - real life common use-case utilities that have mandatory operating costs will never be a thing because of ETH's ridiculous gas fees.

SOL memecoins have proven over and over again that the new money doesn't care about ETH, it just goes straight to SOL.
