Mike's son is in from Seattle and we're getting together for either lunch or dinner lateron.

I'm just hoping I can get some legit rest. I'm friggin' exhausted. I gotta set up reports from tonights's show for 8 A&R reps tomorrow. I wish they would do their jobs and put feet to pavement, but the industry is changing again.

I watched a very young band tonight play Rush's "Limelight."
THEY F'N NAILED IT!!!!!

Their bassist played AND SANG Stone Temple Pilots' "Plush"...
I've been playin' that song since it came out, and I STILL can't sing the harmonies on it... It's incredibly technical. This kid played and sang it like he wrote it.

I have a lotta work ahead of me tomorrow. I haveta try to rest.

The music scene is alive, well, and the kids "get" what WE got. They understand it. They FEEL it, and they LIVE it.

I'm even seeing PARENTS at these shows... When yer an adult, Mom & Dad don't normally make it a point to go see ya...

Mine did, but they're also military and musical, so it was a combo-thing lol

But the parents of these kids... There's zero age separation and zero language barrier. It's a change I never thought I'd see in my lifetime, and it really is phenomenal.

I can goto bed and 1 question I've always had is answered.
