It is well known that the Friday sermon in KSA does not exceed 10-20 mins.

Normally the Khutbah ends and the jumuah prayer starts at the same time Dhuhr Salah begins on any other regular day.

Here is an example of a khutbah, just 3 short pages.

This method is much more fruitful for the listener and even lightens the burden on the Imam.

In the west, it is common that a khutbah is 30-45 minutes long.

If the khutbah was 15 minutes long, this would allow many to schedule their work breaks and catch the entire khutbah & prayer, instead of always arriving "late".

The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said,

إِنَّ طُولَ صَلَاةِ الرَّجُلِ وَقِصَرَ خُطْبَتِهِ مَئِنَّةٌ مِنْ فِقْهِهِ فَأَطِيلُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَاقْصُرُوا الْخُطْبَةَ وَإِنَّ مِنْ الْبَيَانِ سِحْرًا

"Certainly the length of a man’s prayer and the brevity of his sermon is a sign of his understanding. Lengthen the prayer and shorten the sermon. Surely, some eloquence is charming.” Muslim 869
