After watching Richard Vobes, The bowler hat farmer and Katherine Macbean discussing the possibilities and urgency for action, this is what we could offer to the community in the YO 22 area, between the sea and the moors. An allotment for vegetables with fruit bushes and trees already established. A cleared area ready for the 10 ft × 20 ft polytunnel. 2 greenhouses with tomatoes planted. A bucketed area for planting. Manure provided by the 27 sheep with lamb's. Free natural spring water. A 4 berth static caravan, a space for a camper van and a space for a tent. We also have a 10 acre area that needs clearing of gorse, and could provide meals and possibly a small wage. Email dianalumley@outlook.com

Calling all farmers, growers and food enterprises - this ones for YOU!*

Following on from the amazing Open Forum meeting Katherine will be talking to Nick from OFN to give more in depth information on who the Open Food Network is and how all farmers, growers and food enterprises can benefit from utilising their platform for yourself.
The Open Food Network (OFN) is a global community of farmers, growers and food enterprises of all kinds. Together we are building alternative food systems from the bottom up.
These food systems take power and control away from the supermarkets and give it to the producers and the eaters – who are the ‘owners’ of the software.
The OFN is open source which means that the software can never be sold off or taken away from the people who are using it.
Nick will show us how farmers, growers and communities are using the Open Food Network tools to build a wide range of community food enterprises – all of them adapted to suit each local area.
These include;
· Farms selling direct to shoppers and buyers
· Food hubs using a farm building or community centre to bring together multiple producers on one online shopfront
· Food banks and larders distributing surplus or donated food · Food co-ops and buying groups distributing bulk wholesale produce
· Online farmers’ markets
The session will also include time for questions and for anyone who wants to set up a trial shopfront to do so during the session.
Shopfronts trading less than £500 per month are charged on a donation basis

They claim to not hold info on mRNA tech in farming. How unusual…

5. ⁠details of how mRNA technology is being deployed within U.K. agriculture,
6. details of the degree to which mRNA technology deployment has already been rolled out in relation to U.K. agruculture,
7. ⁠the geographical location of any trials being conducted in the U.K. relating to mRNA in respect of livestock,
8. ⁠the geographical location of any trials involving mRNA technology which are being conducted in relation to plants/crops,
9. ⁠details of who is ultimately responsible for mRNA technology being, or to be, used in agriculture in the U.K.
